Nearly two months after the full-length trailer, the first official TV spot for Len Wiseman’s remake of Total Recall is appearing online. There isn’t much (if any) new footage here, but there are enough acrobatics, gunshots, and faceless cannon fodder to satisfy even the choosiest of blockbuster audiences. We loved Paul Verhoeven’s 1990 film, but the new screenplay is said to stay a lot closer to Phillip K. Dick’s classic short story; getting rid of the whole trip to Mars and Arnold’s exploding old lady mask. The film premieres on August 3rd, just a little over two months away.
