Facebook investor Eduardo Saverin hit the news earlier this month following widespread criticism of his decision to renounce his American citizenship just before Facebook’s IPO, in what some described as a tax dodge. Despite responding to the tax allegations, Saverin has opened up about his US citizenship and relationship with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

“I have only good things to say about Mark,” says Saverin, in an interview with Brazil’s Veja magazine. “There are no hard feelings between us.” Describing Zuckerberg as a visionary, he says that Facebook’s biggest strength is the way people represent themselves using their real names rather than nicknames or pseudonyms. Speaking further about Zuckerberg, Saverin commends him on his focus for Facebook. “His focus on the company since its very first day is anything short of admirable.”

Saverin also touches on The Social Network, a movie depicting the beginnings of Facebook, and describes his interest in hurricanes and tsunamis, a childhood hobby. If you’re interested in how Saverin became a billionaire, or why he has three Mac screens, then it’s worth a read.
