Google has just let the world know that the first desktop to run Chrome OS — dubbed the Series 3 Chromebox — as well as Samsung’s latest Chromebook are available now in the US and UK. The Series 5 Chromebook starts at $449.99, but costs $100 more if you want built-in Verizon 3G. If you’re looking for a desktop running Google’s newly-overhauled “Aura” Chrome OS, the Mac Mini-esqe Series 3 Chromebox will run you $329.99. In the US you’ll get to choose from Amazon, Newegg, TigerDirect, and Best Buy, and, luckily for you, we’ve just posted our review of both machines and Google’s refreshed OS, so get reading if you’re intrigued by the idea of a browser-only computer. If you’re in the US or UK you should be able to see the new systems in person at Best Buy or Currys locations, respectively, and if you’re in any other country Google says the computers will be available “in the coming weeks.”
