The kid-friendly Archos Child Pad was originally slated to launch in March, but today it’s finally available to purchase — and it’s brought a few friends along. We already knew that the tablet would feature a 7-inch screen, Android 4.0, a 1GHz processor, and 1GB of RAM, but now Archos is also packing the device with “special content” from the film Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, including a behind-the-scenes clip and online game. It also features a number of pre-installed apps and games — including Angry Birds — and includes a filtered app store to ensure only age-appropriate apps can be downloaded.
