Word is out that Rdio’s head of design Wilson Miner has left for Facebook after more than two years at the company, AllThingsD relayed from a tweet earlier (below). Miner will join Facebook’s design team in an unspecified role. The departure could spell bad news for the streaming music service — Miner has been instrumental in crafting Rdio’s redesigns, from the look and feel of the service to the way it works. VP of Product Malthe Sigurdsson responded, “building a product like Rdio is very much a group-effort, and the design team, led by Ryan Sims and myself, as well as the rest of Rdio’s 70+ employees in San Francisco and around the world are hard at work on some exciting new stuff coming up.” Here are Miner’s tweets:
