iPhone 4S coming to Kentucky-based Bluegrass Cellular on May 18th

For years, AT&T was the sole iPhone carrier in the US, but that all changed with the iPhone 4 launch on Verizon last January. Since then, a wide range of carriers of varying sizes have picked up Apple’s flagship handset (with the notable exception of T-Mobile), with Kentucky-based regional carrier Bluegrass Cellular the latest to do so. Starting on May 18th, Bluegrass will offer the iPhone 4S at a $50 discount over Apple’s standard pricing — the 16GB model will start at $149, with the 32GB and 64GB models priced at $249 and $349, respectively (along with the standard two-year contract). The phone will run on Bluegrass’s CDMA-based EV-DO network, both around Kentucky and nationwide — plans start at $64.99 per month, with an unlimited voice and texting plan with 3GB of data coming in at $99.99. While this is likely one of the smallest carriers yet to offer the iPhone, it’s good to see Bluegrass’s customer have the option for a high-end handset.
