The iOS My Xbox Live app that Microsoft introduced last year is getting more features from its Windows Phone counterpart. An update to the app lets you connect your iPhone to an Xbox 360, seeing your most recent activity as well as browsing or looking for new content. A set of media controls is available too, letting you do things like play or rewind video. It’s now very similar to Windows Phone’s Xbox Companion, and this update gives us actual integration with the console, something that was conspicuously missing when the app first launched. For reasons unknown, these features are iPhone-only, although the app is supported on iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. All devices, however, will get more stable authentication, and the iPad will now have high-resolution images.
