After a slightly depressing E3 where the prevailing theme seemed to be stabbing people in the neck, we wouldn’t blame you for feeling a little burned-out on violent first-person shooters. That said, there’s always room for a slightly more cultured take on the form, and that’s what Shaun Inman has done with Vonneguts & Glory. It’s an art game that only lasts a few minutes long and allows you to experience some of the time-shifting action from Kurt Vonnegut’s novel Slaugherhouse-Five — the game plays out in reverse, and you have to restore your health and ammo by ‘unshooting’ enemies. Inman has also submitted an iOS version of Vonneguts & Glory to Apple, and it’ll be free if and when it’s released on the App Store.
