Google is partnering with Flipboard to add Google+ streams into the popular reader app. The integration utilizes the social network’s new extended APIs, and will enable users to access posts, photos, and video without leaving the Flipboard app. Google’s VP of Product Management, Bradley Horowitz, announced the partnership at Le Web ‘12 in London, saying that the Google+ streams will launch soon.

Google+ is just the latest in a line of social networks to offer integration with Flipboard, joining Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, and Twitter on the service. Last year, Google launched Currents, a Flipboard rival, and it’s not clear how this move will affect the company’s ongoing commitment to the app.
