Some like to read Twitter feeds in short bursts, but web service e-Read MyTweets is built on the belief that tweets deserve all the attention of a good book. The system collects your Twitter feed, formats it for Amazon’s Kindle, and delivers it to a device via Whispernet on 3G or Wi-Fi. It’s currently available in a free limited beta and a paid open beta that costs $20 a year. Unfortunately, the free version seems quite limited: it will send you up to 100 tweets once a day, and there’s a waiting list to get in. That makes it difficult to test out the service before springing for the unlimited version, which lets you customize delivery times and get the entire feed. It’s also just launched, so we haven’t really had a chance to see it in action. Still, it’s an idea that has potential for anyone who likes dedicated reading devices but doesn’t want to jury-rig a Tweet-to-ebook solution, as well as an amusing way to turn ephemera into literature.
