Google Maps continues its march forward today, adding live and typical traffic conditions to seven new countries. Belarus, Estonia, Latvia, Mexico, Peru, Romania, and South Africa will now all have a traffic layer, though it’s only being doled out to one region in each country — Mexico City or South Africa’s Greater Johannesburg, for instance. 19 other (mostly European) countries will also see expanded traffic coverage, including the UK, Germany, Japan, and Taiwan. We’re still waiting on expansion of Google’s more recent traffic estimates, as well as the exciting 3D features it announced in early June, but it’s good to see Maps covering more areas worldwide.
