While AT&T’s updating the Galaxy S II to Android 4.0, Canada’s Rogers is taking things to the next level with an update for its Galaxy S II LTE. This official update includes the older version of Ice Cream Sandwich, version 4.0.3 rather than the newer 4.0.4 like we would’ve like to have seen. To get it you’ll have to install Samsung’s Kies software on a PC or Mac and connect your phone via USB cable. From there, the on-screen instructions should help you through the process.

In the US this phone is known as the Galaxy S II Skyrocket and — like its non-LTE counterpart, the i777 — a leaked version of an Android 4.0 update appeared back in March. While installing leaked ROMs is fun for people who are willing to root their phones and experiment a bit, others who are less inclined to tinker will probably want to wait for the official updates.
