Verizon has announced that it’s retiring its data-monitoring widget for Android and BlackBerry users, but a new option is coming very soon. The change comes in advance of the carrier’s new “Share Everything” plans, which will be launching tomorrow. But while the widget itself will no longer be available, Verizon is updating its My Verizon app to support the new plans and let customers “see and manage their account level data usage,” according to a company spokesperson. The app is available for any Verizon smartphone and the company also said on Twitter that a new version of the widget will be available at some point in the future, once it has been updated to work with the new plans.
