Droid-Life has received some pictures of what appears to be the rumored upcoming Droid RAZR HD, with what looks like an expanded Kevlar backplate and a thicker profile from last year’s RAZR refresh. As Droid-Life points out, the phone has similar looks to its recent predecessor, though the camera has been relocated to the back-center, and it looks like Motorola has found some middle ground between the thickness of the RAZR and the RAZR Maxx — which could suggest that the new version will have a bigger battery than the original RAZR.

While Droid-Life’s source wasn’t able to confirm the device’s processor, a leaked NenaMark benchmark shows a device named Droid RAZR HD that contains a dual-core Snapdragon S4 at 1.5GHz — which would be a nice step up over the RAZR Maxx’s 1.2GHz OMAP4430 core. NenaMark’s benchmark page also shows a screen resolution of 1196 x 720, which would also hopefully add some much-needed quality to the RAZR’s display. This is all obviously still in the rumor phase, but as it stands, the RAZR HD is shaping up to be a nice follow-up to Motorola’s previous efforts to revive its flagship brand.
