Starting next week the Library of America will be launching a new website to supplement an upcoming volume of 1950s sci-fi novels, reports the New York Times. The collection — American Science Fiction: Nine Classic Novels of the 1950s — won’t be available until later this summer, but the site will be launching next Tuesday at loa.org/sciencefiction. It will feature film and radio adaptations of some of the works, as well as images of the original covers and a short story from Fritz Leiber, author of The Big Time, a part of the boxed set. You’ll also be able to check out notes of appreciation from contemporary authors like Neil Gaiman and William Gibson. As for the novels themselves, the collection will be shipping to those who order it online in August, before reaching bookstores in September.
