Chinese mobile site ePrice has leaked photos of a new Sony phone called the Xperia LT29i, apparently the international version of the Xperia GX that’s set to be released in Japan this August. The LT29i shown here comes with the same curved profile as the GX, NFC, and a customized version of Android 4.0, including floating widgets. It’s a bit thinner than the Xperia Arc that it and the GX are based on, at 8.6mm.

According to ePrice, which says it’s obtained an engineering prototype, the LT29i also has the same specs as the Xperia GX, including a 4.6-inch screen with no hardware buttons, 720p display, and Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz dual-core processor. It comes with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory expandable by microSD, as well as a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing one.

The final battery apparently isn’t in yet, but it’s supposed to come with the same 1700mAh one as the GX. A bit strangely, the prototype still bears the Sony Ericsson logo. Besides the difference in size, this phone also looks very similar to the LT30p Mint, another recently leaked device that’s tentatively expected later this year.
