SIM-free versions of Sony’s Xperia S, P, and Sola handsets can now be purchased in the United States. For $479.99, you can pick up the Xperia P from the Sony store, or you can save some money by getting it at Newegg for $388.99. The Xperia S and Sola are also available from Newegg for $469.99 and $299.99, respectively. Unfortunately, the entire bunch is shipping with Android 2.3 Gingerbread (although Ice Cream Sandwich updates are on their way), making any of these a tough sell for anyone who isn’t a diehard Sony fan.
