US Cellular is continuing to expand its Android collection today: after getting the Galaxy S III and HTC One V, the carrier is picking up both the Motorola Electrify 2 and Defy XT. The former is the successor to the Photon 4G (which was called the Electrify on US Cellular), and runs Android 4.0 on a 4.3-inch display powered by an unnamed 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. It looks to be using the same likable skin as the Atrix HD, and it uses on-screen navigation buttons à la the Galaxy Nexus. The 0.33-inch thick phone is available today online for $179.99 with a $100 mail-in rebate and a two-year contract, and you'll be able to pick it up in stores come tomorrow.

The Defy XT, meanwhile, is for those that care more about durability than features. It has a 3.7-inch 854 x 540 scratch-resistant display, and the whole device is water resistant and dust proof. It’s the same phone that launched on Republic Wireless yesterday, and, most unfortunately, it runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. If you’re interested it’ll be available on August 3rd, but we’ve yet to heard any word on how much it will cost you.
