Motorola’s 4.3-inch Photon Q LTE phone is coming to Sprint on Sunday, August 19th. The phone, which runs Android 4.0 with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, will sell for $199.99 on a two-year contract. Pre-orders start today, and Sprint promises early buyers could get the phone up to two days before it shows up in stores. The Photon Q comes with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, non-removable SIM, NFC, and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera like the identically-priced Galaxy S III on Sprint, but its ColorBoost screen is a somewhat lower-resolution 540 x 960, and it comes with an expandable 8GB of internal memory rather than 16GB.

On the firmware side, the Photon Q supports HDMI “mirror mode,” which shows the phone’s display on a TV or monitor. Its build of Android will also come with the Sprint ID interface. The Photon Q is the latest of Sprint’s LTE-enabled phones, meant to take advantage of the fledgling network.
