Sprint has officially confirmed that it is now offering a free ZTE Optik tablet with the purchase of any smartphone. This weekend’s rumors were correct, and the offer certainly has a catch — even though it’s available to both new and veteran consumer subscribers, it requires a two-year contract for both the tablet and smartphone. The 7-inch Optik has a 1.2GHz processor and 16GB of storage, and must be purchased in the same transaction as the smartphone in order to receive the discount. We’ve reached out to confirm how long the deal lasts, but if you’re a Sprint customer looking to upgrade, you should probably do so sooner rather than later.
