We’ve already seen NASA’s Curiosity rover make its dramatic descent to the surface of Mars, but the thumbnail frames of the original stop-motion video did leave something to be desired. Thankfully, the team at Spaceflight 101 has decided to recreate the video using higher resolution images, giving us an even clearer look at what the landing looked like, which you can watch below. This is just the latest example of people creating incredible things using NASA images — last week photographer Andrew Bodrov managed to put together a stunning 360-degree panoramic view of Mars. Now if we could only somehow get a better look at the rover’s recently activated head-mounted laser.
