Apple’s iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad 2 (3G), and fourth-generation iPod touch, Samsung alleged, had infringed upon specific aspects of the otherwise overarching patents, which covered 3G communication standards, email transmission methodology, switching between photo and gallery modes, and background music playback functionality.
