Orange launched Quick Tap over a year ago, but the Galaxy S III is the first Android smartphone to use the system. Orange and Barclaycard provide the Quick Tap service, which they say is available in over 100,000 locations in the UK. The service allows users to make payments of up to £20 without having to enter a PIN.

Like other mobile payment wallets, Galaxy S III owners using Quick Tap in the UK can link up their various debit or credit cards from UK MasterCard or Visa. Orange is offering a £50 bonus credit for new customers when they activate Quick Tap, starting Wednesday.
