Samsung’s LTE-capable flagship, the Galaxy S III 4G, is on its way to Australia with some shiny new Android 4.1 software. The 4.8-inch quad-core device will be coming to Optus’s newly-launched LTE network this month and Telstra’s later in October, with faster connectivity sure to inspire regret among those who sprung for the non-LTE version. Since the phone offers both four cores and LTE, it’s likely that it will have the quad-core Exynos and separate LTE antenna configuration found on Samsung’s Korean variant. At launch there will be two colorways on each carrier — grey and black on Telstra, and white and blue on Optus, but you won’t be able to start comparison shopping just yet. Optus already has its pricing up, but Telstra says its won’t be revealed until the phone launches next month.
