T-Mobile and Samsung have announced the upcoming availability of the Galaxy S Relay 4G, an Android 4.0 device with a five-row QWERTY keyboard. Coming to T-Mobile in the “coming weeks,” the phone is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S3 processor and is fully certified under Samsung’s Approved for Enterprise (SAFE) program, a label which brings with it enhanced Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync support, on-device AES-256 encryption, and the ability to interface automatically with a range of VPN providers.

While the Galaxy S Relay 4G does not support LTE, it does offer 42Mbps HSPA+, a technology which falls under T-Mobile’s definition of “4G.” Featuring a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen, it also provides a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.3-megapixel shooter on the front. With its combination of a decent-sized keyboard and SAFE certification, it will be interesting to see whether the Relay 4G manages to make a dent in the enterprise market over the coming months.
