AT&T sold 10 million smartphones in the final quarter of 2012, Reuters reports. The company won’t provide details about Q4’s finances for some time, but that sales number is a new high, beating last year’s holiday quarter sales of 9.4 million. It’s also a big — though expected — jump over last quarter, when AT&T sold 6.1 million smartphones. There’s no breakdown based on platform, but the iPhone has previously been a bigger part of sales for AT&T than for Verizon or other competitors, and we suspect the same is true this quarter despite the launch of new flagship Windows Phone 8 devices like the Lumia 920.
