Chromebooks may soon start listening for your commands just like Google's newest version of Android does. Hidden in the latest Chrome OS developer release is the ability for it to listen for users to say "Ok Google" when the App Launcher is pulled up, and then immediately jump into a voice search when it hears the phrase. Chromium evangelist François Beaufort says that the feature could grow much bigger down the road, allowing users to give more specific commands like "Ok Google, open Gmail" or "Ok Google, chat with Josh" as well. For now, the basic feature probably still has some ways to go before it reaches a full release, but with Google's recent focus on voice commands, it's no surprise to see expanded functionality like this in the works.
