NASA’s Morpheus lander is designed to deliver supplies to the Moon, asteroids, and maybe one day, other planets. Its first attempt at landing didn’t go so well, however — last year, the lander exploded during a test. So it’s comforting to watch Morpheus blast evenly into the air to a height of 50 feet, zoom 23 feet to the right, then gently lower itself back to Earth.
This is what cargo deliveries will look like on the Moon

Perhaps in the next test we’ll get to watch the intelligent landing system dodge obstacles.
