And yet despite being in a “transitional” season - losing popular cast members while taking on unknown newcomers - this season it’s still part of the cultural zeitgeist. We sat down with Taran Killam on the eve of its holiday episode to get a behind-the-scenes look at how Saturday Night Live stays relevant and to talk about his comic book side project The Illegitimates.
