Apple designer Jony Ive may have a knighthood, but until last week, he was missing a very important British honor: the coveted gold badge from children’s program Blue Peter. Ive appeared on the show not just to receive his badge, but to review children’s designs for a combination lunch box/backpack/pencil case. “We’d be really careful about not having the word ‘box,’” he told host Barney Harwood. “It already gives you a bunch of ideas that could be quite narrow.”
