Twitter just released a redesigned app for Windows Phone versions 7 and above, which includes the four new navigation tabs (Home, Connect, Discover, and Me) also found on Twitter’s other mobile apps for Android and iOS. But the Windows Phone app contains the unique feature of being able to pin select Twitter accounts, searches and lists as “live tiles” to Windows Phone’s start screen, which will automatically update with new content as it becomes available. The news is welcome for Windows Phone users but there’s still no mention of when Microsoft’s other new operating system, Windows 8, will be getting its own official Twitter app. For now, you can grab the updated Twitter for Windows Phone from the Windows Phone Store.
