Google has announced that the Gmail mobile web app is taking on design cues from its recently-refreshed iOS app. “We’ve heard from many of you that you like the redesigned UI, along with new features such as improved search and integration with Google Calendar,” the Gmail team announced via Google+. As a result, the Gmail mobile web app has been refreshed with an interface that closely adheres to Google’s current iOS design language. The update is notable since Gmail users on Kindle Fire devices and select mobile operating systems (BlackBerry 10, Windows Phone) rely on the mobile site in lieu of a native email client. The new look and feature improvements also extend to Gmail Offline.
