Rdio continues global expansion, adds seven countries including Mexico, Italy, and Ireland

Rdio is continuing its global push today, as the company has announced at SXSW 2013 that it’s bringing the streaming music service to seven new countries. The new additions bring the total number of nations that can stream from Rdio to 30, spanning across North America and Europe, primarily. Listeners in the seven new countries — Mexico, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, and Austria — will be able to partake in Rdio’s six-month free streaming option alongside the majority of the service’s markets. The company has also added free listening as an option in Brazil, which is its third largest market.
