Film critic Roger Ebert died last week at the age of 70, and today the entertainment community will be holding a memorial service in his honor and streaming the event online. Ebert’s wife Chaz, who has been active on his Twitter account in recent days, announced yesterday that the memorial will take place at the Chicago Theatre. Scheduled speakers include actor John Cusack, directors Gregory Nava and Andrew Davis, and an assortment of other colleagues — including Richard Roeper, Ebert’s co-host on Ebert & Roeper At the Movies. Ebert will also be honored next week at the 15th Ebertfest Film Festival in Champagne-Urbana, Illinois.
‘Roger Ebert: A Celebration of Life’ memorial streaming live at 8PM ET / 5PM PT
