Sony was among the manufacturers showing off its 4K TVs at CES 2013, and the company has announced today that its 55-inch and 65-inch models are set to arrive in stores next month. The Bravia XBR-55X900A and XBR-65X900A will be priced at $4,999 and $6,999 respectively, and will become available April 21st.

Sony’s new 4K LED sets have passive 3D, an edge-lit display, and built-in WiFi connectivity. The company had hoped to hit a “more accessible price range” with this line of television sets, and compared to its current 4K pricing the new sets almost seem affordable. Sony’s leak also revealed details about a streaming distribution service for 4K content, centering around a $699 media player that stores and delivers on-demand content. The company is also offering “Mastered in 4K” copies of Sony films including Ghostbusters and Spider-Man, which are 1080p copies that have been optimized for 4K, but are not presented in the higher resolution.
