The Google+ app for iOS has just been updated with some of the new AI-based features that Google showcased two weeks ago. The app can now automatically highlight a user’s best shots, magically adjust photos, and turn a series of similar pictures into an animated GIF. Support has also been added for the enhanced hashtag features that were announced at Google I/O. Though Google’s release notes for the update suggest that it’s removing Hangouts functionality in favor of its new standalone app, this isn’t the case: while a prompt suggests that you download the chat app, you can still do a Hangout within Google+. The changes are already available on the corresponding Android app, which was updated last week.
