Star Trek Into Darkness, set for release next week, combines many of the things we nerds love. And buried somewhere in the film is a cameo that adds yet another layer of potential coolness. Edgar Wright, who directed and helped write Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and upcoming film The World’s End among other things, tweeted earlier today that he also directed a shot of Star Trek Into Darkness. He also says there are 2120 total shots in the film but doesn’t specify further, so barring more information, you can watch with the delicious possibility that any given fragment could be Wright’s. As to whether the new Star Trek as a whole is any good, we’ll have everything you need to know on The Verge... sometime next week.
