Google Drive for iOS gets a fresh coat of paint, quick sharing

Google Drive for iOS has just received a much-needed visual revamp and a few critical features like the ability to copy the URL for a file to your clipboard, edit in landscape mode, and more straightforward file-sharing. Google Drive for iOS, which has traditionally lagged behind some of Google’s other apps like Gmail and Google+, now falls in line visually with its brethren — emphasizing “cards,” thumbnails instead of list view, and a centrally located search bar that’s easier to access. In case you forgot, Google Drive search recognizes images and text inside your images, so doing a search for “Statue Of Liberty” is simple, even if your file names are a mess.

The update should hit the App Store at some point today.
