AT&T customers can now get the Nokia Lumia 1020 and its 41-megapixel camera for $199 on contract. The Windows Phone flagship originally launched for $299 back in July, no doubt thanks to that class-leading rear shooter. But in a crowded smartphone market that will soon be joined by new iPhones, that price point may have been an obstacle to potential buyers. The move will likely cut into Nokia’s profit margins some, but we imagine the company is willing to sacrifice some cash if it spurs an increase in sales. If the Lumia 1020’s above-average MSRP was holding you back before, it could be time to take another look. If you’re not upgrade eligible, the phone’s unsubsidized price has also fallen to $609.99 — down from $659.99.
