Microsoft’s Xbox Music app for Android debuted alongside the iOS version back in September, but both versions didn’t include offline playback. Following the recent iOS update to include offline playback, the Android version is also getting the same treatment today. Visually there don’t appear to have been any additional changes, but you can also play collections by selecting genre now. The biggest change is the offline playback option that lets you download playlists to use when there’s no data connection. Microsoft’s Xbox Music service also provides streaming music across iOS, Windows Phone, Windows, and the web. The latest Android update is available immediately in the Google Play Store.
