Former Apple executive Scott Forstall has kept a low profile ever since his abrupt departure from the company in 2012. He’s now back in the public eye, though not in a setting you’d expect. Forstall, who played a huge role in the creation of OS X and later iOS, can be seen on multiple advertisements for The City College of New York. As Gizmodo points out, Forstall’s headshot is the same one that used to accompany his executive biography on Apple’s website. It’s not at all clear why Forstall’s face is being used on these ads for CCNY’s student charge card; to our knowledge, he has no direct ties to or affiliation with the school. (Forstall grew up in Washington state and attended college at Stanford University.)
