Remixing “4’33”” — John Cage’s famously silent composition — sounds like an easy music student joke, but someone took the idea seriously and actually came up with a pretty great result. Dangerous Minds points to a video posted on YouTube a few years back, which has someone recording the ambient sounds made during a performance of “4’33”” and then remixing those using Auto-Tune. The results sound like something out of a sci-fi film, screeching and groaning in your ears. You can decide how true it stays to Cage’s original intent. If you’re looking for more “4’33”” once the remix is done, you can actually check out the composition’s official app.
This Auto-Tune remix of John Cage’s 4’33” is actually pretty great
