Jimmy Fallon and Jonah Hill continue hashtag abuse on ‘The Tonight Show’

After dragging hashtags kicking and screaming into the real world with Justin Timberlake last year, Jimmy Fallon is at it again on the new Tonight Show. This time it’s The Wolf of Wall Street’s Jonah Hill who highlights the linguistically inane nature of much of our Twitter chatter, alongside some special guests.

There’s a #throwbackthursday vibe to the skit, as Fallon and Hill reminisce over old movies and pop culture references. It’s all a bit #cringe, but then again, so is many Twitter users’ gratuitous overuse of hashtags.
