Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore has just announced that Facebook’s popular chat app Messenger is coming to Windows Phone. Although Facebook messaging has been built into Windows Phone since the OS first launched, its new Messenger app offers a broader feature set including the popular ‘stickers.’ The app has been available on Android and iOS for several years, and although a precise release date wasn’t announced it’s definitely “coming soon” to Windows Phone. Facebook’s other, newly acquired messaging app, WhatsApp, is already available for the operating system, alongside Instagram which debuted in beta form in November.
