Dan Seifert takes a hands-on look at Samsung’s Galaxy S5 at MWC 2014 in Barcelona.
Samsung Galaxy S5 hands-on
Physical differences between the S5 and last year’s S4 are minimal, but one obvious change is the dimpled removable rear cover. The S5 also features like a fingerprint and heart rate scanner on the front and back, respectively. The heart rate monitor is used by Samsung’s upgraded S Health app, which now contains an exercise coach, pedometer, and integration with other fitness apps.
The Galaxy S5 spec sheet features a 2.5GHz quad-core processor, 5.1-inch display, and 2800mah battery that Samsung claims will best last year’s S4 by 20 percent - a claim we look forward to testing in a future review.
