It didn’t take long for Xbox chief Phil Spencer to kill off the Kinect bundling after his promotion earlier this year, and he seems proud of his new status as the white knight of Xbox. Spencer’s retweet of CVG labeling him the “destroyer of mandatory Kinect” would appear to indicate that. Although Spencer offered an excuse to CVG, it should be noted that he’s yet to un-retweet the message. Still, that cheeky wink and a nudge could give him an all-important out from his new “destroyer” tag.
