Sony is teasing new devices ahead of next week’s press conference at the IFA trade show. A video promoting the event features a trio of silhouetted devices, implying we should expect a new flagship phone and tablet along with a smaller phone. We know from prior leaks that Sony has a small tablet, thought to be called the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, in the works, and we’re also expecting to see the Xperia Z3 flagship next week. That leaves the final, smaller device to identify, which is likely to be an updated version of the company’s well-received Xperia Z1 Compact.

Elsewhere in the video, you’ll find cryptic messages pointing to some of the strengths of Sony’s Xperia line. Virtues like waterproofing and battery life are subtly hinted at by people jumping into a pool and an endurance runner saying “keeps going.” Sony will be announcing its new devices on September 3rd, and we’ll be live at the event to bring you the latest news.
