Google’s Chrome OS just got updated to version 37, and it comes with a handful of changes that continue to make the web-based operating system feel more and more like a full-fledged computer. Perhaps most notable is new multi-user management: now, multiple users can be signed in simultaneously, as Google has added a way to switch between them without having to log in and out each time. It’s a pretty basic feature that Windows and OS X have had for years, so we’re glad to see Google wake up and make it easier to share one Chromebook with multiple users.

Other changes include an “app info” view in the Chrome launcher, a settings window that appears as its own window instead of a browser tab, and the ability to save files to Google Drive when you’re browsing in incognito mode. The last change is notable for businesses — it lets organizations push and manage bookmarks out across multiple devices. None of these are groundbreaking changes, but they’re the kind of small updates that help Chrome OS feel just a bit more complete than it did before. The update is available now for all users except those running the Acer C7 Chromebook, Samsung Chromebook Series 5 and HP Pavilion Chromebook.
