It looks like Disney is moving things along briskly for its upcoming Ghost in the Shell adaptation. Deadline reports that, only days since DreamWorks signed Scarlett Johansson for the main role, the film is now scheduled for an April 14th, 2017 release.

2017 is already going to be a big year for blockbusters, with much of Marvel and DC’s superhero offerings hitting theaters throughout the year. Fans will also get to see the next installment of the Planet of the Apes series, and well as the Lego Batman Movie and Guillermo Del Toro’s sequel to Pacific Rim.
