Toshiba’s Encore 2 Write tablets pair Wacom pens with two screen sizes

More and more Windows tablets are using stylus support as a differentiator, and that list gets longer today with Toshiba’s Encore 2 Write devices. The 8-inch and 10.1-inch slates both feature digitizer pens with Wacom TruFeel tech, which works alongside Toshiba apps to help you take notes, annotate photos, and do other things that you might just find more fun with a pen.
Basic specs include an Intel Atom processor, 2GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, and battery life of up to 11 hours. Both models will go on sale January 11th starting at $349.99 for the 8-inch variant and $399.99 for the 10-inch version; those prices include one year of Office 365.
Toshiba is also announcing a new ultrabook, the business-focused Portege Z20t. It has a 12.5-inch 1080p display, an Intel Core M processor, a Wacom digitizer pen, and a detachable keyboard. It’ll be available direct through Toshiba and through certain other retailers this month from $1,399.
